Overview

The MNW Scholarship uplifts students who are committed to creating change in healthcare, education, and service—especially within immigrant and historically under-resourced communities. Whether you're planning to become a doctor, community leader, educator, or advocate, this award celebrates your drive to build equity, resilience, and collective healing.

What We Offer

  • Award Amount: $250–$500, depending on funding

  • Digital Feature: Winners are spotlighted on Raíces' site and social media

  • Mentorship and Workshops: Grow your impact with guidance from our team

Who Can Apply

  • First-generation, low-income, or immigrant background

  • High school juniors/seniors, or currently enrolled in college

  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare, education, or community service

  • A heart for serving others and contributing meaningfully to your community

How to Apply

Applicants must submit:

  • A short personal statement answering:

    "What drives your commitment to service, health equity, or education?"

  • One creative submission (choose one):

    • Short video (under 2 mins)

    • Essay or reflection

    • Creative work (art, poem, etc.)
